Designed with clever drainage

There’s a brilliant built-in drainage system that takes care of rainwater. Any rainwater that lands on the louvres flows into U-shaped channels. From here, it flows from the roof and into channels in the pergola framework. Once in the horizontal framework, it will then flow into the hollow pergola legs and down to the ground. This clever system means that you’ll never see the water draining off of the pergola. Plus, if you open the louvres when wet, the U-shaped channels prevent dripping under the sheltered area.

This weather-ready pergola offers a sheltered option for you and your garden furniture to stay dry in rainy conditions. However, in heavy downpours, there’s always a chance your pergola may leak. So, just as you would with your house, we ask you to occasionally check that the pergola gutters are free of debris, to keep everything good condition.

Assembly and securing

This pergola will require assembly and we recommend that 2-3 people are required to safely lift and assemble it. The build time is approx 2 hours and it should be positioned on a solid and hard surface, like a concrete base. In order for the drainage system to do its job, the pergola should be secured to a patio that has a gradual decline. Most patios would naturally have this, in order for rainwater to flow away from the house. Please ensure that the pergola legs are securely bolted to the floor, using the holes within each leg base plate, and secured using the expansion bolts which are supplied as standard.
