Finally, we are excited to see a big change in Dometic inflatable awnings for 2025.
We at Norwich Camping and Leisure love the changes and can’t wait to stock the new and improved Dometic awnings. We’ll also have them on display in-store for our local visitors to the site.
Tour awnings is the name that has taken over from the Pro in past years, which makes it clear that these awnings are made for touring. Thankfully, these new designs will still be made of a material for use in any season and weather. The new material is still a 300-denier fabric like its past models, but now it has ripstop technology built-in, reducing the chance of tears.
The main update to the awnings is the new colourway. Stepping away from the traditional black colour they have had for 9 years, they are now light grey. This is great for many reasons, including making it brighter and lighter inside the awning. Light grey also reduces the chance of colour fading, which sometimes occurs with the black colourway. The new awning material is dope-dyed for lasting colour.
Taps and valves inside the Tour awnings have been updated to be light grey to match the fabric, making them less obvious and giving a cleaner finish. The awnings feature new curtains made of soft-touch cotton material and a new easy slide track to attach the curtains.
The newest Tour awnings aren’t available just yet, so we don’t have the most recent models on our shelves right now. However, we do have the new models ready to pre-order online, and we still have excellent current Dometic outdoor awnings for sale online and in-store.
Here’s what we have of the new range ready for you to preorder, along with their past model differences.
The latest model we stock is the Residence AIR Tour Awning, which is available in all-season material. It isn’t available for those touring who want a lighter-weight awning yet. The Residence Awning is available in sizes 11-16, and we hope that one day, Dometic will release it in sizes 17 and 18, too.
The Residence Tour comes with a very convenient footprint groundsheet, roof liner and electric pump.
The Sunshine AIR Tour 300, 400, and 500 sun canopies now have a peak in the roof for height and strength, plus an optional upgrade of zip-in side walls and a front panel. We think this is a vast improvement on the Pro, which had no front panel at all, and poles and clips for the side walls.
The Rally AIR Tour, available in 200, 260, 330, 390, and the Grande AIR Tour 390 have no change from their old models, apart from the light grey colour update. The Pop AIR Tour Eriba awnings now have a peak in the roof for strength and stability, the updated Tour material, and it comes with a sun canopy, roof liner and footprint groundsheet.
If you prefer the current colour and material, good news: the Club AIR Pro is staying in the Pro material for another year. The All-Season models remain the same for the 2025 season for those of you who prefer this awning choice from Dometic.
Most of the Dometic awnings come in the two multi-height systems: S – 235-265cm and M – 265-295cm. Caravans need the S size for 235-250, and then you can unzip the multi-height system for motorhomes to extend the roof as needed.
